Domestic Abuse
Domestic violence is a term which refers to a wide range of physical, sexual, emotional and financial abuse of people who are, or have been, intimate partners - whether or not they are married or cohabiting. Although domestic violence can take place in any intimate relationship, including gay and lesbian partnerships, and abuse of men by female partners does occur, the great majority of domestic violence, and the most severe and chronic incidents, are perpetrated by men against women and their children. Agenda for Change
I am delighted to present this booklet on Agenda for Change to NHS staff. It sets out the way the original Agenda for Change proposals have developed following testing in the twelve ‘Early Implementer sites’ in England and modelling in Scotland. The new pay system provides a clear government commitment to our most important resource – our staff – and will support them in the high quality patient care that they deliver. Agenda for Change provides you as an NHS employee with a unique opportunity to be part of the decision-making process. It offers a new way of looking at job roles in the organisation. It will ensure fair pay, the development of staff and the delivery of the services we need in a world class NHS. We now need to collectively work together on this at both a national and a local level to realise the potential in Agenda for Change and to demonstrate the benefit of this extra investment. |
