Agenda for Change

Agenda for Change came into force in the NHS, across the UK on 1 December 2004, with pay terms and conditions backdated to 1 October 2004. It was the most significant change to NHS-wide pay, terms and conditions in over 50 years. All employers are expected to have moved their staff to the new pay bands, outlined below, by the end of 2006 at the very latest.

For members this site provides you access to the documents explaining Agenda for Change. It has been a long process and The CDNA lead discussions with our members throughout the consultation period and represented members across the UK to ensure the new NHS pay and terms conditions system was right for district nurses. The CDNA worked closely with other unions and the Government and hosted workshops all over the UK to keep new Representatives apprised of the proposed new pay structure.

Over 50 Community Nurses became Agenda for Change (AfC) Reps and was inundated with members wishing to become Agenda for Change Representatives.
