This is the first submission of evidence to the Review Body made by the NHS Staff Side since the new pay system, Agenda for Change, started to be implemented across the NHS, and since the remit for the Review Body was changed to include health professional groups other than nursing staff, midwives, health visitors and allied health professionals. The Staff Side is pleased to present this evidence, which sets out priorities for the Review Body in respect of nurses, midwives and health visitors; the allied health professions; the health care science professions, pharmacists, optometrists, applied psychologists and psychotherapists; and clinical support workers and technicians supporting these groups, for the 2006 pay round.
